Creative ways to separate yourself from the competition at a football camp : that guy edition

With all the craziness of recruiting these days, the big question is “how do you separate yourself from the competition?” … Now if you are going to a football camp with 400 kids obviously you need to ball out in order to get recognized…but you are just a number most likely… so how do you become “that guy”. You can be … The guy with the neon shorts…the guy with two arm sleeves…the guy with an American Flag cast (I’ve been that guy)…the guy with a bald head…the pretty boy looking guy…the guy who can do a backflip…the guy who wears ankle socks… the guy with weird hair…the guy who puked…the guy who rocks sunglasses… the skull cap guy… the guy who likes to fight … the guy with no swag… the weird guy…the tall guy… the short guy… the guy who doesn’t wear gloves… the guy who wears goggles… the guy with another schools gear on… OR even the guy who drove up with a nice car. Point is when coaches get to talking and observing at a camp, you are a number, but if you can make enough of an impression AND you have something that sticks out about you… you become THAT guy. “That guy in the neon shorts, yeah I saw him last week at another camp he is damn good.” Obviously do not abuse this either, some coaches might enjoy the confidence/uniqueness of something different…BUT if you go too far, those old school coaches will flag you for being cocky and it turns them off. Whether you like it or not, we are all some guy.
